System requirements

Please check the following system requirements before buying b1gMail. If your server/webspace meets the requirements, you can install and use b1gMail.
Available add ons may have different requirements.

System requirements

Webspace with PHP 4.2.2 or greater (optional S/MIME features for encrypting/decrypting mails require PHP 5.2.0 or greater)
At least 20 MB of free space
MySQL database (MySQL 4.1 or greater) with at least 30 MB of free space
One POP3 account
Domain with catchall function (sometimes called "default address") (available at most web hosters)

b1gMail works finde with cPanel, Plesk and most other control panels.
If you are planning to buy a dedicated server, we recommend a Linux server with Apache as web-server.

b1gMail Server Test

You can use the b1gMail Server Test to check if your webspace meets most oft b1gMail's requirements. Simply follow these steps:

Download the b1gMail Server Test:
Extract the file "servertest.zip" with a ZIP program of your choice, e.g. WinRAR or WinZIP.
Open the file "readme.html" by double-clicking it and read it carefully.
Upload the file "servertest.php" to your webspace, for example using an FTP program.
Launch the file "servertest.php" from your webspace using your webbrowser.
The b1gMail Server Test checks your webspace and displays the result.
