Adaptive spam filter
b1gMail contains a adaptive Bayes spam filter which can be trained by it's
user. Just declare incoming mails as spam or non-spam and the filter will
analyze the mail's contents and learn to classify incoming mails for itself
the next time your receive an email. This way the filter achieves an accuracy
of 99,9% and above when trained correctly.
DNSBL filter and header rules
An incoming mail's source mail server can be checked against multiple DNSBL lists.
When a configurable limit of positive tests is exceeded, the mail will be declared
as spam.
A header rule editor allows the administrator to analyze header fields so
you can let b1gMail declare a mail as spam if it's headers match certain criteria.
This way you can integrate external anti spam software.
Anti Virus
b1gMail can check incoming messages for viruses using the popular
ClamAV anti virus software
which is proven to be reliable and accurate.
In case ClamAV is installed on your server, you can enable b1gMail's ClamAV
connector. From now on, b1gMail will warn users if they get an infected email.
Other Anti Virus systems can be integrated by receiving rules (see above) or
plugins.
Spam and Virus threatment
Your users can decide theirselves on what to do with emails that are spam or infected.
They can configure b1gMail to delete the mails, move them to a special folder or just
flag them with a warning symbol.
